Trans Liberation is Only Achievable Through Revolution!

On the occasion of the 11th Trans Day of Action for Social and Economic Justice on June 26th, the Liaison Committee for a New Communist Party raised the flag of trans liberation and proletarian feminism and the struggle of trans women and trans women of color in particular alongside our comrades from the Revolutionary Student Coordinating Committee.

We do so as fighters among the people, but also as trans people ourselves, fighting for our total liberation.

It is not necessary that we revisit the litany of reasons why we fight. We all already know. We live it in our own skins. We know ourselves oppressed and exploited. We see our sisters, our comrades, fall. We ourselves stumble. We live in a world that often even refuses to recognize our existence. We all know and feel this.

We want to speak, however, about what we can do about our oppression and our exploitation. What are we doing about our oppression and our exploitation. And the origin of our oppression and exploitation.

Why communism?

Contrary to the anti-communist propaganda, communism is not some ugly, grey society, much worse for trans and queer people than our society. In fact, the first successful socialist revolution to seek to build communism was notorious (and attacked) for abolishing all laws regarding sexuality and gender differences (except those related to consent). The eventual overthrow of this was coupled with the eventual overthrow of socialism itself.

Our definition of communism is clear: without gender liberation, without sexual liberation, there is no revolution. We have to overthrow not just the system of exploitation (capitalism-imperialism,) but the systems of oppression that enable it. Without white supremacy, male supremacy, cis supremacy, heterosexism, national chauvinism and all other forms of oppression being relentlessly confronted by revolutionaries, the old way of doing things will be restored sooner or later. This happened in the Soviet Union, it happened in revolutionary China, it happened in every country that claimed to be socialist. We recognize that failure, while understanding that we can learn from their successes, which put to shame those of capitalism-imperialism.

Why proletarian feminism?

Proletarian feminism is the self-determined theory and practice put forth by communists world-wide on the question of gender and gender identity. It is born out of the criticism of the patriarchal failure of previous communist movements.

queers for Palestin 2015

While proletarian feminism is a recent development of theory and practice, this is no reason to not pursue it. In fact, it is an opportunity to sum up and to develop further the theoretical and practical lessons of the women’s movement up to now. We want to go beyond our experience of activism and into a revolutionary movement, a real revolutionary movement, a movement for real power for the liberation of all of us, the oppressed and the exploited.

Proletarian feminists reject biological arguments that support cis chauvinism and cis supremacy, and embrace gender liberation. We make it clear that gender, as identity, is in itself not the problem, but rather that gender roles (specially gender roles rooted in patriarchy) are the problem. These roles are ultimately rooted in class society, which in our times is capitalism-imperialism. “Feminist” trends that attack trans people for affirming their gender identity (and social being when possible) either in the name of gender abolition or in the name of defending a gender binary based on a sex binary, are actually engaging in a patriarchal definition of gender, and a capitalist-imperialist definition of gender. Until one’s gender identity and gender expression is only relevant as an expression of individuality, with no consequences as they relate to oppression and exploitation, we must fight for liberation.

Patriarchy orders gender today – this is why we are feminists. Working class and poor trans people have more in common with our working class and poor siblings (even when they are transantagonistic) than with even trans people at the top – this is why we are proletarian. Our total liberation is not possible until all oppression and exploitation is overthrown, this is why we are communists.

Caitlyn Jenner is a woman and our class enemy, but CeCe McDonald is a woman and our comrade!

Socialism is no guarantee against cis supremacy – it is up to us as trans people to ensure that the movement to overthrow capitalism doesn’t leave us behind. It is also the task of cis gender comrades to embrace, defend, listen, and march side by side with us, not to tokenize and dictate – but to be our comrades in trans liberation. We need physical and armed self-defense by any means necessary – it is with political organization this self-defense is the most effective. We cannot do it alone. Self-determination is not isolation!

Trans communists are part of the vanguard of the struggle for liberation, because capitalism-imperialism puts us at the bottom. We welcome trans organizations like the Revolutionary Alliance of Trans People Against Capitalism (RATPAC) emerging, and look forward to explicitly proletarian and communist trans struggle, which has had a long time coming. RATPAC and others have begun to speak about proletarian transfeminism – and we look forward to engage with what this means in theory and practice – as trans and cis proletarian feminists we didn’t think we needed a further development. That said, we are not opposed to this development if it enriches and deepens our liberation. We need a trans movement that upholds and defends CeCe McDonald or Chelsea Manning as our examples – women who raised the level of struggle with their example, and any theoretical development that sums up and marches forward such a movement will be embraced.

sylvia r and Marsha p JComrades Sylvia Rivera and Marsh P. Johnson revolutionary pioneers of Stonewall 1969 and S.T.A.R (Street Transgender* Action Revolutionaries)

We stand on the shoulders of trans women like Sylvia Rivera and Marsha P. Johnson,  or Leslie Feinberg, comrades who embraced not just their own liberation, but that of all the people, without losing sight of self-determination as the starting point.

We seek to deepen their theoretical and practical contributions and develop a communist movement that moves beyond trans inclusion, and into acting shoulder to shoulder as comrades in trans liberation.

Trans women are women, there is no women’s liberation without trans woman liberation!
We have nothing to lose but our chains!

Workers of the World Unite!
Long Live Marxism-Leninism-Maoism

Crises, wars, repression, oppression, unemployment, poverty!

Proletarians and oppressed people, let us unite and take the future in our hands!

Long live …. Revolution!

Imperialism continues crossing a deep economic crisis and unloading it on the proletarians and peoples of the world. They speak about recovery, but the only thing that recovers is the rush to profits, wealth and arms.

For the proletarians, poor peasants and other people’s masses in every country of the world, instead, we see unemployment, labor laws increasing precariousness, exploitation and slavery, misery, plunder of raw materials and energy resources, devastation of environment and territories. Youth without work are now the majority, in spite of their educational and cultural growth. New technologies are used to make more profits, intensify exploitation and the despotic command and control on labour and increase the destructive power of arms.

Against this situation proletarians and masses rise up, in the imperialist countries, as well as in the countries oppressed by imperialism. Proletarians and masses cannot accept a worse and worse condition of life and work; a life of hardship with neither hope, nor future, and they hate more and more their oppressed and harassers.

In the oppressed countries, workers, peasants and youth have repeatedly come out in the streets braving severe repression to fight back the attacks on their livehood; the peasantry, main force for the New Democratic Revolution, withstand the reactionary anti-peasants policies of displacement and annihilation and persist in the struggle for lands against old and “new” forms of semi-feudal domination, base of the imperialist rule.

In the imperialist countries the uprisings of youth and immigrants from Ferguson to Stockholm, to the banlieues in Paris, the general workers’ struggles, which often clash with the repressive apparatus of the State. All of this show that the revolution, as tendency and need, is increasingly emerging and clashes the reactionarization and fascistization of states and governments.

Wherever, in the struggles and people’s wars, the forefront role of women advances, to put an end to the heinous class and gender oppression that fills the streets of the world of rapes, femicides, and to demand a revolution for a true liberation. In order to face and prevent the people’s rebellion, imperialists, their States, their right or claimed “left” governments, respond with fierce repression, massacres, persecution; demagogy and plotting. They establish police states that rub out political, social and individual freedoms, in a vain attempt to stop the people’s wave and the revolutionary organization of masses.

They also employed the enticements of the electoral farce of reformist, social-democrats and revisionist in order to contain the rage of the mass within their reactionary system. These forces foster the illusion that some ‘pro-people’ government can overcome the ravages of the crisis; for instance, in Greece, highest expression of the crisis in Europe, forces of new social democracy as SYRIZA, come to power as a last resort, but they are not able to stand up to the diktats of European capital and banks or give response to the needs and struggle of masses. Also if the service done to imperialism by such fake left forces who misguide the masses still remain as a hurdle, in many countries the masses respond with the intensification of the class struggle and an increasingly massive abstention and boycott.

In Ukraine and Eastern Europe reactionary, also Nazi-like, forces advance, supported by US, EU and NATO, in a framework of inter-imperialist contention with Putin’s Russia. The masses are justly struggling against fascism and Western imperialism, but they need a genuine communist leadership to be not pawns of imperialist Russia expansionism.

The rebellion of proletarians and masses demands a radical change and the only means to achieve this is to overthrow, weapons in hand, the ruling classes and establish a new society free from exploitation, oppression and imperialism. Within the crisis become inter-imperialist contradictions sharpen and tendency to a new world partition war becomes more and more insistent – although the contradiction between imperialism and people and nation oppressed remains the principle contradition in the world – the revolution remains the main trend and is embodied by the potential new wave of the world proletarian revolution.

In order to become successful new democratic revolutions marching to socialism in the countries oppressed by imperialism, and proletarian and socialist revolutions marching to communism in the imperialist countries, the rebellions of masses need a genuine revolutionary communist party in each country, a united front of all the exploited and oppressed masses led by the proletariat and a revolutionary people’s army. Where the masses lack these instruments, their heroic and bold struggles are defeated and / or end to be prey of reactionary forces, always tied to imperialist system, that can not free them from the social, economic and political chains.

In the name of the war on terrorism, imperialism unleashes wars and domestic terror. But imperialism is the true terrorism, the monster that we must fight and overthrow. What in the world is worse than imperialism? Imperialism, especially US, intensifies the policy of war, invasion and aggression in Iraq, Afghanistan and fosters wars in Syria, Libya Yemen and throughout the Middle East and West Asia. They respond to the people’s revolts in the Arab countries by installing in power forces that continue the policy of the old tyrants and regimes, as in Egypt, in cahoots and alliance with the Zionist gendarme, Israel, and other reactionary regimes in the region, from Turkey to Iran, Saudi Arabia.

In these wars and interventions, they arm feudal and reactionary forces which then turn against them, bringing the war within the imperialist countries themselves with fierce attacks that undermine the security and strength of those States, within which there are masses and sections of rebel immigrants who hate imperialism. In the field where these direct and indirect interventions took place, imperialism continues applying the policy of Low Intensity Conflict (LCI) with agents and plots to put masses against masses, to divert the target of the struggles of the oppressed peoples from of their main enemy, at the aim of dividing the anti-imperialist united front, as now in Syria facing the Arab and Kurdish masses.

Where the ISIS advances, the masses fight and resist, as Kurdish masses, with a leading role of women, in the front row in Rojava, Kobane. But only by fighting with the People’s War, not only the ISIS but also imperialism and the reactionary regimes in the region, the masses can free themselves from social and national oppression.

The bourgeoisie and its sophisticated intellectuals, in the imperialist citadels as in the centers of culture in the countries oppressed by imperialism, sing the funeral of the working class and its ideology, powerfully drawn by Marx, Engels Lenin, Stalin Mao, but in every corner of the world we are witnessing a huge resumption of the workers’ struggle, classist and combative, that shakes the citadels of capital, also in China, as well as all countries of the alleged development of capital , the so-called, “emerging countries”.

In the imperialist system, big countries, such as Brazil, Turkey, etc. are crossed by strong struggles of workers, peasants and other masses and show how the economic rise of these countries under the rule of imperialism makes them “giant with feet of clay” and land of revolution. There is no place in the world that does not see tensions and sharpening of the class struggle. In this framework it is the People’s War, led by Marxist-Leninist-Maoist parties, the only strategic reference of the liberation struggle.

The People’s War in India, hitting directly at one of the major bastions of imperialism and reaction in the world, has roused great enthusiasm among the revolutionary masses all over the world and become a powerful internationalist rallying point. Together with the People’s Wars in the Philippines, Peru, and Turkey, it continues to undermine imperialism and shows the path to overthrow the system of exploitation and oppression of imperialism and the feudal reactionary forces and the construction of a new power and society.

The Marxist-Leninist-Maoists communists in the world must construct and strengthen Communist Parties to take up their tasks of leadership and development, ridding their ranks of revisionist and capitulationist tendencies, as Prachandism in Nepal, Avakianism in the US, the Right Opportunist Line, in all forms, in Peru, etc., without falling, at the same time, into the sterile petty bourgeois revolutionarism and dogmatism. The building of the communist parties must take place in the fire of the class struggle with close tie with the masses, in function of the revolutionary struggle for the power.

This May Day 2015 calls us to lift high and strong the red flag of communism and revolution in every demonstration, in every anti-imperialist struggle in the world, bringing and renewing with strength the slogan of: “Proletarians and oppressed peoples of the world, unite!”

Let us unite to stop imperialist and reactionary wars, to crush imperialism and reaction around the world!

Let us salute the martyrs of the people and revolution, let us support the struggle and free revolutionary and communist political prisoners around the world!

Let us bring forth the genuine proletarian internationalism in the leadership of proletarian struggles, in the struggles of the peoples to create the conditions and advance towards an international organisation of communists

Let us support people’s wars until victory!

Let us take the future of communism in our hands!

Calling revolutionaries throughout the US for May Day 2015

NCP (LC) and RSCC on Mayday 2014
NCP (LC) and RSCC on Mayday 2014

Let this year’s May first be the largest in history! May 1st has been the rallying point for workers, revolutionaries and communists of every shade. Now more than ever it is pivotal to make the demarcation with the liberalism of the people’s movement. We declare that the first step for advancing the struggle of the exploited in the US is to split the movement along revolutionary lines. The questions of today must be answered by revolutionaries, first and foremost. This means centering on organizations whose orientation is to strategically defeat the enemy by ideological, economic and ultimately political means. Organizations which do not merely aim to gain more quantitatively for the exploited, but also qualitatively change the order of society from a capitalist society to a socialist society.

The continuing inter-imperialist conflicts worldwide leading to more proxy wars in Yemen, along with the continuing conflicts in Syria and Ukraine for the battle of hegemony between US or Russian interests convey to us that merely opposing the current imperialism is not enough to alter the position of the exploited. The bleeding of the environment and the genuine and artificial scarcity of resources continues ever more with many unable to get basic necessities. The continuing genocides of oppressed nationalities continues with New Afrikans (African Americans) being extra-judicially killed every 28 hours with no recourse from the law on the perpetrators. Concentration camps for working class oppressed nationalities is alive and well for the Black and Latinos being funneled due to a drug war which is a cover for a counter insurgency of their communities, not to mention the growing population of immigrants in detention centers who receive less support than those in prisons. The fight for 15 shows that even labor-aristocratic led trade-unions are even coming into contradiction with the ruling class, and that rank and file workers are realizing their economic interests at the minimum.

The tasks of communists is to lead these struggles, bring the revolutionary line and analysis, push the limits and connect with every section of society which can benefit from overthrowing the capitalist class. But to advance we must divide. We must divide ourselves from the outdated methods of struggle and analysis from the revisionist left. We must divide from the neo-liberal outlets of social welfare activism which is promoted by the state in a counter insurgency to pacify the people from realizing their strategic interests. We must be able to come to unity in regards to making revolution in the 21 century United States. But this unity must be brought about through struggle. Unit-Struggle-Unity is the Maoist method. This May Day we invite all revolutionaries to unite for this struggle.

NCP(LC) Statement on Patriarchy and Rectification of Gender Practice

The NCP(LC) seriously takes the issue of rectification on any given contradiction. It is important to rectify mistakes and errors before it becomes a problem that would be more difficult to deal with in the future if it hasn’t been addressed. The NCP(LC) is making an attempt at building a Maoist party in the United States and one of things we need to do in order to achieve that is provide leadership on the women’s question through proletarian feminist theory and practice. As a liaison committee the questions concerning proletarian-feminism are going through the process of line struggle as are other questions which are related to party building and developing socialist revolution in the US in the 21st Century.  But what we do agree on is that proletarian feminism is a theory and a practice that puts the primacy of class struggle within the struggle for women’s liberation and that if we don’t aim to destroy patriarchy while fighting against capitalism we are not fighting for socialism. Therefore we must set certain standards for a correct communist practice on gender. This is something we are not perfect in practice. We must be honest to ourselves, and to the masses, in order to learn from our mistakes and gain respect from the people.

In society, patriarchy exists as a contradiction among the people that can lead to antagonistic contradictions among the masses if not solved. Patriarchy precedes capitalism, so it is not itself a mode of production, but it is an ideological structure which changes and adapts to specifically historical modes of production as well as different cultures. Patriarchy structures gender roles (especially the gender division of labor), kinship relations, sexuality norms, and the institutions in class society which relegate women to a status which is less than that of men. In capitalism women face: 1) Commodification, both in the various types of sex-work, as well as in courtship and relationships (ie; slut-shaming criticizes women for not valuing themselves as a commodity to be exchanged in marriage.); 2) the Gender Division of labor in unpaid domestic work child rearing, and family duties; 3) Super-exploitation in wage work where women are paid less than men (helps lead to economic dependence), and; 4) Violence against women, from interpersonal domestic violence as well as organized violence from the state (ie militaries). We can turn to the late Anurandha Ghandy of the CPI(Maoist) on the question of patriarchy in capitalism:

“The Maoist perspective on the women’s question in India also identifies patriarchy as an institution that has been the cause of women’s oppression throughout class society. But it does not identify it as a separate system with its own laws of motion. The understanding is that patriarchy takes different content and forms in different societies depending on their level of development and the specific history and condition of that particular society; that it has been and is being used by the ruling classes to serve their interests. Hence there is no separate enemy for patriarchy. The same ruling classes, whether imperialists, capitalists, feudals and the State they control, are the enemies of women because they uphold and perpetuate the patriarchal family, gender discrimination and the patriarchal ideology within that society. They get the support of ordinary men undoubtedly who imbibe the patriarchal ideas, which are the ideas of the ruling classes and oppress women. But the position of ordinary men and those of the ruling classes cannot be compared.”

The NCP (LC) as a communist organization seeking to become a party is not excluded from patriarchy that exists among the people. This does not excuse comrades within our organization from participating in patriarchy and must be struggled out internally and among the people. Internally, historically, we have had problems with patriarchy and gender within the organization since we were in our predecessor organizations and failed to rectify collectives and specific individuals with practices that have been inconsistent with a proletarian feminist practice. In the New York City branch our gender practice has been poor impacting the development of women and the mass work overall. We had members criticized within the mass work and rectification processes for several errors in their gender practice. In the NCP (LC) and more specifically in the NYC branch we are still looking forward to not only rectify in practice but to undergo ideological development on the question of proletarian feminism.

A former comrade who was in the NCP(OC) and the NCP(LC), was expelled from both organizations. The OC had expelled this comrade for opportunist reasons because of political differences and holding a minority political line-along with their patriarchal practice and was brought into the LC along with a collectivity that initially had nothing to with the LC. This comrade was brought into the LC under the condition that he would undergo rectification for previous patriarchal behavior. That said, this comrade has not once been part of the democratic process of the NYC Branch or the Liaison Committee process as a whole, only a nominal member under discipline to deal with his rectification. If this comrade would have enthusiastically and willingly shown initiative throughout the rectification process, he would not have been expelled because the comrade would have proved he rectified his patriarchal practice thus becoming a full member in good standing. Unfortunately, that did not take place. Not only did this comrade fail to rectify, but his patriarchal practice had become worse over time putting other women in similar situations that exemplifies his sexist practice. The comrade in question has had a history of patriarchal and/or sexual misconduct for a few years. And it hasn’t been handled correctly for several reasons: 1.) criticism and rectification of this individual not on the basis of his practice necessarily but because he held a minority political line within communist organization; 2.) male chauvinism in the organization did not take the rectification at all times seriously enough; 3.) because the individual comrade has been seen as valuable and advanced on other questions except on the question of gender and; 4.) liberalism of friendships over politics. None are good excuses in the rectification of this individual are reflected in organizational liberalisms and not putting politics in command. If so we might have had the opportunity to “cure the sickness to save the patient”. But the blame does not fall exclusively on the organization but also must fall on the individual in question for not taking the rectification in a serious manner.

These are some major trends of liberalism that have manifested in dealing with the contradiction this individual had with other women until he finally had done almost nothing to show he would like to rectify his patriarchal practice and thinking. This individual had mistreated women who he was intimate or aimed to be intimate with in various ways. Physical abuse was not prevalent in all aspects, or even primary with all the women, but it was existent-to the point that it kept some of the women in a fearful state of the individual. Emotional abuse was prevalent with the individuals, as there had been times that he made his partners feel personally inferior to him. Also, with this emotional abuse came the use of sexist language to denigrate them or make them feel poorly of themselves, sexual misconduct, making sexual advances to an individual that was unwarranted and/or unwanted after consent was not given, and using the personal/intimate relationship for his own political gain and agenda. There were instances of this comrade trying to skip rectification by attempting to use his partner for his own political gain or bypass his rectification rather than do it himself. As the New York City branch of the New Communist Party (Liaison Committee), to practice transparency, accountability, discipline, and rectification, we are asking that those around us to ask the NCP (LC) any questions concerning this directly or anything else at NCPLiaison@gmail.com.

CPI(Maoist) and MCP Manipur Joint Statement Against Obama’s Visit To India

Joint Statment of Communist Party of India (Maoist) and Maoist Communist Party Manipur.

Unite in struggle against the Indian state!

Under the signboard of globalisation, structural adjustment and open market economy world imperialism has announced its global agenda to further intensify the domination, exploitation and oppression of the people. The current global crisis of world imperialism has further sharpened its attacks, bringing about the inevitability of even more misery, horror, devastation and war, on a world scale. The proletariat and the oppressed people of the world continue to resist this agenda by raising revolutionary struggles, against imperialism and the subservient reactionary ruling classes of different countries, generating a new wave of people struggles all over the world, particularly in the oppressed countries. As Mao had formulated, the oppressed countries constitute the storm centres of world revolution and revolution is the main trend in the world today.

The region of South Asia continues to provide a concentrated expression of this truth. South Asia, with more than 1/5th of the world population, is a simmering volcano, as recognised by the imperialists themselves. All the major contradictions in the region are intensifying and call for revolutionary solutions.

In India, national liberation movements are continuing in Kashmir, Assam, Nagaland and Manipur. The protracted people’s war continues to rage in Central and Eastern India and is now opening up a new front in the South West. Various people’s struggles against imperialism and the reactionary ruling classes are also surging forward. India forcibly maintains the oppressed nationalities under its hegemony. Not only does the Indian army of occupation crush their just demands with utmost brutality, they have been pitting one section of the people against the other to drown their just struggles in oceans of blood. This is to be seen in Nagaland, Manipur, Assam, Kashmir and Central and Eastern India. Naga regiments are deployed in the latter against the people’s war and Indian Army is deployed in Nagaland, Manipur, Assam, Tripura and Meghalaya to suppress the national liberation movements.

Maoist Communist Party of Manipur

The Indian state is more and more functioning as the regional gendarme of US imperialism and thus fulfilling its expansionist ambitions, suppressing people’s movements in the sub-continent. Indian rulers have been even more crudely intervening in the internal affairs of neighbouring countries like Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Maldives. The recent visits of the Indian Prime Minister to various countries in Asia and hobnobbing with US and other imperialists are new steps to preserve and consolidate its political and economic hegemony in South Asia region, contending with China. Barack Obama, the US President, comes as chief guest for the Indian expansionists’ show off parade of the 26th to promote this and tighten US control. The Indian expansionist state backed by world imperialism, particularly US imperialism, constitutes the common enemy of the peoples of South Asia.

The Modi regime of the BJP is transforming the state into a fascist apparatus to crush all types of democratic movements in India, surpassing all its predecessors. It is attacking worker’s rights and going all out to deepen imperialist penetration of the economy. It is imposing Brahmanic fascist values in all spheres of society. The main thrust of this offensive is a new phase of the ‘war on people’ (Operation Green Hunt) aimed at destroying the on-going protracted people’s war and intensification of suppression of various national movements. This means more fake encounters (of both revolutionaries and common people), more loot, destruction, mayhem, tortures and atrocities on people, more attacks, political and physical, on any kind of opposition, more trampling of civil rights, and more severe repression in various forms on political prisoners incarcerated in prisons all over the country.

The People's Liberation Guerrilla Army, led by the CPI(Maoist)
The People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army, led by the CPI(Maoist)

State violence in India is institutionalised through constitutional immunity to the police, the paramilitary and the army. The most notorious form of this is the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (1958). The AFSPA has its roots in British colonial legislation dating back to the mid-19th century. More directly, it was based on a British colonial ordinance, called the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Ordinance promulgated in 1942 to assist in suppressing the “Quit India Movement”, part of the struggle against British colonialism. The AFSPA has been operative for years together in large parts of the Northeast region of India and in Jammu Kashmir. The AFSPA empowers security forces to arrest and enter property without warrant, to shoot to kill, even in circumstances where they are not at imminent risk. It’s a license to kill and rape when they want. It has facilitated grave human rights abuses, including extrajudicial execution, “disappearance”, rape and torture. Declaring an area a “disturbed area” and granting the military extensive powers is in practice imposing an undeclared emergency regime. The AFSPA has allowed members of the armed forces to perpetrate abuses with impunity. They have been shielded by clauses in the AFSPA that prohibit prosecutions from being initiated without permission from the Central government. Such permission is rarely granted.

If the AFSPA allows the most heinous suppression to be legitimised by the constitutional standards of the Indian state, all of this and worse is being done as part of ‘Operation Green Hunt’ in the battle zones of the people’s war led by the Communist Party of India (Maoist) in Central and Eastern India, without any pretence of legality and even in open violation of judicial sanctions. Here the victims are mainly the adivasis and dalits at the bottommost layers of society. In a span of ten years nearly two thousand have been killed and countless more brutally tortured, and jailed. This brutal multi-pronged countrywide offensive on people’s various resistances, particularly targeting the Maoist movement, has been raging unabated, since its launch in mid-2009 by the UPA-2 government till date. Preparations for its Third Phase are going on at a rapid pace under the fascist NDA Government.

The peoples of Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram, Assam, Tripura, Meghalaya and Jammu Kashmir have been for long victims of the Indian state’s counter insurgency operations. Thousands have been killed by the heartless Indian armed forces. In Manipur alone, according to rough estimates, eight thousand nine hundred and eighty three beloved people have been killed, under the AFSPA. The sixteen lakh indigenous population in Manipur live under the jackboots of one lakh Indian armed forces killers equipped with sophisticated weapons.

This is the real face of Indian ‘democracy’. This is the reality of the Indian Republic. It is a prison house of nations. It is a sweathouse for imperialism and its comprador lackeys. It is a torture chamber for the oppressed and exploited.

We appeal to the people, to the oppressed nationalities and the exploited, all over India,

Let us all unite to overthrow the Indian state and destroy this monstrosity!

Let us support each other in our struggles!

Let us advance along the path of protracted people’s war guided by Marxism-Leninism-Maoism!

Let us fan the flames of new democratic revolution and thus serve the cause of the world socialist revolution!

Signed,

Communist Party of India (Maoist)

“Your support in the true internationalist spirit, has given the necessary moral support to the oppressed peoples and the comrades who fight the Indian Expansionism in Manipur as a part of the world socialist revolution.”

‘Proletarians of the world unite’ is an example of how to bring change in the world at large. Since this very slogan of Karl Marx has reached in the soil of Manipur now, the universal proletarian Ideology of Maoism is mushrooming in the minds of the new generation of Manipuri youngsters. Maoist Communist Party Manipur of which representing the new generation of Manipur, will fight peoples war with the true Internationalist sprit. The development of Maoist movement in terms of expansion, advancement and greater extension of strength around the globe engender courage and provides moral support to each and every Maoist of Manipur.

Our party, which further carries on the legacy of Lamyanba Hijam Irabot led Communist Movement, has developed the New Democratic revolution as an integral part of the world socialist revolution. We are being prepared in every quarter for a New Democratic Revolution and have been advancing. Our task is to complete the revolution led by Lamyanba Hijam Irabot by adopting the universal proletarian ideology Marxism-Leninism-Maoism as guiding principal of the party.

The New Democratic Revolution in the semi-feudal and semi-colonial, neo-colonial and colonial countries and the socialist revolutions in the capitalist-imperialist countries, which form the two streams of the world socialist revolution and the Marxism-Leninism-Maoism is more and more grasped by the people as their guiding ideology. People are becoming gradually aware that the imperialists, their lackeys/puppets ruler in the oppressed countries and all kinds of reactionaries are common enemies of all the oppressed peoples and nations in the world, and join more and more in the fighting ranks. All the basic contradictions in the world and in every country increase and intensify day by day.The world situation is excellent for the Proletarian revolution. Thus, the urgent task of communists everywhere in the world is to take the excellent objective conditions to politically mobilize and consolidate the oppressed masses and strengthen the subjective forces, because only a strong proletarian party and consolidated masses can successfully make revolution.

The International Event to be organized by The New Communist Party-Liaison Committee with a great role has become a new message to the people of Manipur. With this the Maoist Communist Party Manipur will be able to battle without remorse and evacuation as if the organizer has taught and directed us a new true path of Revolution with a new courage. The solidarity shown by Red Guards -Los Angeles in the very moment of the party being formed and strengthening gradually since last year, is much worth of and valued of utmost and it will wide-awake the people of Manipur in particular. This type of solidarity gives great confidence to the People of Manipur, convincing that they are not alone in their struggle.

Today, we are made feel much proud of the irreplaceable red blood of the Martyrs, sacrificed by our inimitable comrades in the efforts of the formation and development of Maoist movement, as their red blood has amalgamated in the ocean of World Socialist Revolution. We pledge before all of you that we would carry on the lofty aims of all great martyrs of the world proletarian revolution and announce that no amount of fascist repression can subdue the fighting spirit of our Party and the revolutionary people of Manipur. We will march forward with enhanced determination braving all kinds of odds and making sacrifices till the final victory. This is our promise to the international proletariat, to all the friends and well-wishers of Manipur revolution.

Long live the proletarian Internationalism!
Long Live Marxism-Leninism-Maoism!

Long live the Philippines revolution and the Communist Party of the Philippines

By the New Communist Party (Liaison Committee)

On this historic day, Dec.26, 2014, the New Communist Party (Liaison Committee) of the United States sends its solidarity, fraternal support and respect to one of the world’s leading revolutionary organizations: the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP).

As communists, we uphold the revolutionary movement being waged by CPP against capitalism-imperialism and semi-feudalism as one of the greatest and most important revolutionary wars being waged in the world right now. Many vanguard organizations that wish to lead the working class and the oppressed against capitalism and imperialism, can learn a great deal from studying CPP, its organizing strategies, its errors and rectifications and its guiding ideology, that of the revolutionary science of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism.

The CPP has been on the forefront of the international communist movement ever since its founding 46 years ago on this very date. But prior still, revolutionaries in the Philippines have waged wars of liberation against colonialists, from Spain to Japan and now against the imperialist United States.

We view the contemporary struggle as an ongoing history by the first anti-colonialists of the Philippines of 1896 led by Andrés Bonifacio and the people.

We as Marxists-Leninist-Maoists, view the contributions of Mao Zedong as primary additions to the struggle of revolution and liberation worldwide – especially for oppressed nations and internal colonies. Marxism-Leninism-Maoism resonates with oppressed people within the United States, too, for the specific make-up of this imperialist country as being settler-colonialists. Our struggles, too, have to focus on national liberation as well as proletarian revolution. The CPP are, by leaps and bounds, making strides in contextualizing the national liberation struggle within the socialist revolution. The CPP’s guiding ideology is shared by us, and we uphold Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, as our principle banner for revolution.

The CPP and its allied organizations, the National Democratic Front and the New Peoples Army, as Mao taught, are the three weapons needed to wage a successful revolution.

We as revolutionaries and especially as oppressed and exploited people faced with systemic state violence, such as white supremacist police terrorism against our communities, look toward the CPP and the Philippines as a viable solution to this onslaught, to this reality of police abuse and violence. Police terror is the extension of the dictatorship of the white supremacist, capitalist ruling class in the US, and exposes how oppression and exploitation that are the very pillars of our society.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: we need a people’s army led by a communist party and a united front of all oppressed and exploited people in the settler-colonialist United States. The Liaison Committee for a New Communist Party aspires to build this communist party guided by Marxism-Leninism-Maoism.

Down with U.S. imperialism! Down with the repressive Filipino state!

Long live the National Democratic Front! Long live the New Peoples’ Army! Long live the Communist Party of the Philippines!

IT DOESN’T STOP UNTIL WE STOP IT!

eric-garner-police-brutality-ramsey-ortaAfter Daniel Pantaleo, a white New York City Police Department officer, killed an African American, Eric Garner, by choking him to death on July 17 in Tompkinsville, Staten Island, a New York City grand jury on Dec. 3 refused to indict him or any of the other officers involved in the murder.

But we are not surprised.

We are not surprised by the New York City grand jury’s decision – similar to the Ferguson grand jury which also refused to indict officer Darren Wilson in the killing of Mike Brown. It stands as an affirmation that the U.S. is a white supremacist country, whose principal character is that of being a prison house of nations. It stands as an affirmation of this country’s legacy of national oppression when it sends in an overwhelmingly white police force like an occupying army into its internal colonies/oppressed nations (communities of color). It stands as cemented proof, for those that needed it, of this country’s legacy as an imperialist, white supremacist, settler-colonial state.

Protests have erupted in response all across the country, many of which are continuing from the Ferguson and Mike Brown solidarity movements. More and more, people—the masses—are rising up in coordinated and spontaneous actions in cities throughout the U.S., from the East Coast (New York) to the Midwest (Kansas City) to the West Coast (Los Angeles, Oakland and Portland). And, still, more and more people are echoing some of Eric Garner’s final words of resistance against the racist police, “It stops today,” to which we say, yes, of course, and let’s add to that: “This doesn’t stop until we stop it!”

But, still, many think activism starts and ends with a hashtag, with a non-profit coalition, with a city-permitted demonstration.

But we think differently. We recognize the necessity of putting an end to the tragically long list of names of black and brown lives taken by the capitalist-imperialist state.

Let it be clearly understood now: the capitalist-imperialist state is waging a war, particularly against its internal colonies/oppressed nations. They want us kettled in, powerless and utterly dominated. They want us dead or controlled. Not only does the U.S. need its consumers, it also needs its surplus reserve of cheap labor, largely made up of people of African Americans, Chicanos and immigrants/migrants from oppressed nations around the world.

The state has its armed forces; this is referred to as the repressive state apparatus (RSA). The RSA is one side of state power; the other is its ideological state apparatus (ISA). The RSA is a section of the capitalist state that maintains the relations of capitalist production and white supremacy through the use of organized force: the army, the justice department, congress, police, courts, prisons etc. The ISA justifies and tries to legitimize the white supremacist and capitalist order through ideology – in schools, in the media, etc. The NYPD is part of the repressive state apparatus that maintains the order of white supremacist capitalism through organized violence. The NYPD protects the interests and property of the capitalist class along with their allies in the financial capital of the world, by repressing working class people and oppressed nationalities so as to keep us ready to be exploited.

We cannot afford to treat these killings as individual phenomena, as particularities in an otherwise smooth and frictionless existence; we exist to resist. The killings of black and brown people will not stop without calculated and protracted confrontation. The state and its repressive and ideological state apparatuses will not tire. They must be completely and mercilessly destroyed, and this can only be done with a well-coordinated and disciplined mass movement. For this, we say, we understand, that we need a concentrated effort carried out by the masses that are committed for proletarian revolution, for a Peoples’ War—this is what we call for a communist party. It doesn’t exist, but it must. And that’s why we exist.

The New Communist Party (Liaison Committee) exists simply and only for the sincerest reason to build proletarian revolution and communism. As we attempt to build the party, a new party, an authentic communist party, we encourage all oppressed and exploited people in this country to organize Cop Watches, to organize self-defense organizations, to organize for self-preservation and survival and continue to build mass organizations that seek to make revolution against the capitalist-imperialist bourgeoisie.

Revolutionaries from past history have come to several universal truths. Among them Chairman Mao Zedong understood this all too well during the Chinese Revolution of 1949 and then again during the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution of 1966-1976 with the dictum: “Without a People’s Army, the people have nothing.”

Let us struggle, let us win, let us make revolution.

ALL OUT FOR ERIC GARNER!

Last week Mike Brown’s murderer, the cop Darren Wilson was not indicted by the St. Louis grand jury, for the execution of Mike Brown. Not only is he now a free man, he has become a millionaire because of donations from racists and payments for television interviews. Today, the grand jury in NYC did not indict the cop Daniel Pantaleo who executed Eric Garner in a chokehold. The United States permits and rewards the genocide of Black lives. The New York City branch of the NCP(LC) will be mobilizing to protest these killing.
