IT DOESN’T STOP UNTIL WE STOP IT!

eric-garner-police-brutality-ramsey-ortaAfter Daniel Pantaleo, a white New York City Police Department officer, killed an African American, Eric Garner, by choking him to death on July 17 in Tompkinsville, Staten Island, a New York City grand jury on Dec. 3 refused to indict him or any of the other officers involved in the murder.

But we are not surprised.

We are not surprised by the New York City grand jury’s decision – similar to the Ferguson grand jury which also refused to indict officer Darren Wilson in the killing of Mike Brown. It stands as an affirmation that the U.S. is a white supremacist country, whose principal character is that of being a prison house of nations. It stands as an affirmation of this country’s legacy of national oppression when it sends in an overwhelmingly white police force like an occupying army into its internal colonies/oppressed nations (communities of color). It stands as cemented proof, for those that needed it, of this country’s legacy as an imperialist, white supremacist, settler-colonial state.

Protests have erupted in response all across the country, many of which are continuing from the Ferguson and Mike Brown solidarity movements. More and more, people—the masses—are rising up in coordinated and spontaneous actions in cities throughout the U.S., from the East Coast (New York) to the Midwest (Kansas City) to the West Coast (Los Angeles, Oakland and Portland). And, still, more and more people are echoing some of Eric Garner’s final words of resistance against the racist police, “It stops today,” to which we say, yes, of course, and let’s add to that: “This doesn’t stop until we stop it!”

But, still, many think activism starts and ends with a hashtag, with a non-profit coalition, with a city-permitted demonstration.

But we think differently. We recognize the necessity of putting an end to the tragically long list of names of black and brown lives taken by the capitalist-imperialist state.

Let it be clearly understood now: the capitalist-imperialist state is waging a war, particularly against its internal colonies/oppressed nations. They want us kettled in, powerless and utterly dominated. They want us dead or controlled. Not only does the U.S. need its consumers, it also needs its surplus reserve of cheap labor, largely made up of people of African Americans, Chicanos and immigrants/migrants from oppressed nations around the world.

The state has its armed forces; this is referred to as the repressive state apparatus (RSA). The RSA is one side of state power; the other is its ideological state apparatus (ISA). The RSA is a section of the capitalist state that maintains the relations of capitalist production and white supremacy through the use of organized force: the army, the justice department, congress, police, courts, prisons etc. The ISA justifies and tries to legitimize the white supremacist and capitalist order through ideology – in schools, in the media, etc. The NYPD is part of the repressive state apparatus that maintains the order of white supremacist capitalism through organized violence. The NYPD protects the interests and property of the capitalist class along with their allies in the financial capital of the world, by repressing working class people and oppressed nationalities so as to keep us ready to be exploited.

We cannot afford to treat these killings as individual phenomena, as particularities in an otherwise smooth and frictionless existence; we exist to resist. The killings of black and brown people will not stop without calculated and protracted confrontation. The state and its repressive and ideological state apparatuses will not tire. They must be completely and mercilessly destroyed, and this can only be done with a well-coordinated and disciplined mass movement. For this, we say, we understand, that we need a concentrated effort carried out by the masses that are committed for proletarian revolution, for a Peoples’ War—this is what we call for a communist party. It doesn’t exist, but it must. And that’s why we exist.

The New Communist Party (Liaison Committee) exists simply and only for the sincerest reason to build proletarian revolution and communism. As we attempt to build the party, a new party, an authentic communist party, we encourage all oppressed and exploited people in this country to organize Cop Watches, to organize self-defense organizations, to organize for self-preservation and survival and continue to build mass organizations that seek to make revolution against the capitalist-imperialist bourgeoisie.

Revolutionaries from past history have come to several universal truths. Among them Chairman Mao Zedong understood this all too well during the Chinese Revolution of 1949 and then again during the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution of 1966-1976 with the dictum: “Without a People’s Army, the people have nothing.”

Let us struggle, let us win, let us make revolution.

NO MATTER WHAT THE STATE SAYS: OFFICER DARREN WILSON IS GUILTY!

Yesterday’s news that a St. Louis County grand jury will not indict Ferguson, Mo., white police officer Darren Wilson for the murder of unarmed 18-year-old African American Michael Brown comes as no surprise. In spite of several witnesses, including Brown’s friend Dorian Johnson who was with him at the time of the murder, who saw Brown with his hands up in the air surrendering, in spite of video and audio recording directly after the shooting that conflict with police officer’s reports, in spite of an independent autopsy issued by the Brown family that contradicts original claims that Brown was shot as a result of struggling with officer Wilson, in spite of all of the mounting evidence that contradicts the Ferguson Police Department’s statements and accounts, St. Louis County has decided not to indict officer Wilson.

In spite of the vicious character-assassination attempts by the Ferguson Police Department and St. Louis County’s spreading a surveillance video of a man shop-lifting in which they claim was Brown, the masses of Ferguson and their allies were not so easily fooled by these white supremacists tactics. What happened to so many other young men of African descent in this country, including Oscar Grant, Trayvon Martin and scores of others, was yet again formulaically attempted on Michael Brown.

Instead, St. Louis County, Missouri and the repressive state apparatus of the U.S. have further proven to more and more of the oppressed and exploited masses in the U.S. that we are being brutalized, hunted, stalked, systemically discriminated against and systemically murdered.

The fact that officer Wilson, like countless others before him and surely hundreds of others after, is able to walk away with no indictment after a cold-blooded killing, resonates in the communities of the oppressed nations in the United States. While struggling with poverty, inadequate employment and schooling; discriminated in virtually all facets of American society, our struggle is further exacerbated by a police force that serves the bourgeoisie and enforces a racial and national oppression that is as clear as day to the naked eye. It is especially clear when we begin to see Missouri Governor Jay Nixon declare a statewide emergency ahead of the grand jury decision with the Missouri National Guard, Missouri Highway Patrol, St. Louis County Police Department and St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department converging on Ferguson under a Unified Command under the cynical guise of “protecting civil rights”.

But the masses grow weary of oppression.

What surely will happen, as what has been happening, is a continued unrest and uprising in Ferguson and all over the U.S. The oppressed are right to rebel. But what is needed now more than ever is the revolutionary understanding of some conclusions:

1) The U.S. is a settler-colonialist capitalist empire with internal colonies/oppressed nations, of which include the Black Nation; this antagonism is violent and deadly and The working class of these oppressed nations along with the working class from the Euro-American must unite to form a United Front to combat not only national oppression and Euro-American chauvinism but capitalism itself, this process includes the creation of the Marxist-Leninist-Maoist Party of the multi-national working class.

2) The masses cannot rely on the police (or any other state representation) for genuine protection and service; it is not in the interest of the capitalist-serving police to protect and serve our communities.

3) Oppressed nationalities, but principally people of African descent, have always been targeted and brutalized; Michael Brown is not a unique phenomenon in the settler-colonialist-capitalist-imperialist history of the U.S.

4) The masses need their own proletarian protection, our own bases, our own forces, our own counter-hegemonic movement: our own dual power. The masses need a People’s Army, and this Army can only be lead by the Communist Party, and as such we must construct the Marxist-Leninist-Maoist Communist Party. Struggles in different localities should form self-defense groups to form an attempt at resistance such as the formation of cop watches to act as a counterweight against police brutality, with the recognition that these forms are also limited as well in terms of their impact and scope but that are necessary in providing some form of material relief to the masses who suffer from brutal forms of violence and extra-judicial killings.

We stand in solidarity with the masses in Ferguson, Mo., and all over the U.S. that organize against police terror. We stand in full support of the rebelling oppressed masses who cry out for fundamental change. We stand in unequivocal support for all those who see these injustices as further proof, as further evidence, as an indictment against the white supremacist capitalist-imperialist nature of the U.S.

Long live the rebelling masses of Ferguson!

Long live the oppressed people of the U.S!

Down with Capitalism and Imperialism!

Arms Up, Shoot Back!

The Police Cannot Be Reformed, They Must Be Defeated

Without a people’s army, the people have nothing”

– Mao Zedong

The masses have the correct instinct to rebel against capitalist white supremacy. Rebellion must become revolution, to uproot the entire system of genocidal oppression that kills a Black man every 28 hours. The people of Ferguson have rightfully rebelled following the execution of Michael Brown by the armed agents of the capitalist state, a story of murder that has caused outrage throughout the country. For the people of Ferguson, protest signs and pickets are not enough; they fought fire with fire, challenging the very legitimacy of the white supremacist, capitalist state. Ferguson is now under a military style occupation, aptly compared to the occupation of Gaza by the terrorist state of Israel.

tensions-still-high-in-missouri-war-zone-after-mondays-riotsNowhere in the US is the need for a People’s Army felt more strongly than it is in Ferguson right now. Oppressed people, who daily risk losing their lives for the crime of existing while being Black refuse to submit to the terror of capitalist white supremacy. The People refuse to allow there to be peace while Trayvon Martin can be shot by a vigilante agent of white supremacy for being Black and near a gated white community. The People refuse to allow there to be peace while white supremacist fascists can openly carry guns and flock to the US border to kill migrant children but John Crawford was shot to death in a Walmart for holding a toy gun while being Black. The People refuse to allow there to be peace when the list of lives stolen by capitalist white supremacy grows larger with every passing hour. Not more than 48 hours after the execution of Michael Brown in Ferguson, a young Black man with mental health issues named Ezell Ford was shot by police in Los Angeles while lying face down.

The state responds to the rebellion from its internal colonies with a military style occupation: assault rifles, riot gear, a no fly zone, K9 units etc. The fact that Black people in America are an internally colonized people becomes crystal clear. The role of  the state is revealed as being to punish and discipline these neocolonial subjects, precisely because the state is an instrument for the rule over all of society by the white supremacist, capitalist ruling class whose American empire oppresses the People of the world- drone strikes in Yemen and Pakistan, a decade long occupation that destroyed Iraq, financing of Israel’s genocidal colonization of Palestine, the destabilization of African countries, propping up right wing dictatorships in Latin America etc.

The Indian people are fighting to take control of their country away from the feudal landlords, the capitalists and imperialism, and put it in the hands of the masses. The People's Liberation Guerrilla Army is a tool for the Indian masses to wage their revolutionary struggle for liberation and power.

The white supremacist, capitalist empire that is called the USA was built on the enslavement of African slaves, the near-extermination and theft of land from Native Americans, the colonization of Puerto Rico, Guam, Hawaii and the Philippines. It is these people who are colonial subjects inside of the empire. During the decades of the 60’s and the 70’s, it was from these internal colonies that revolutionary forces sprang forth calling for revolution, socialism, and the destruction of the white supremacist empire. Through its counter-revolutionary terrorism, the imperialist state helped to crush these movements and strengthened its repressive apparatuses to further terrorize and oppress their social base so as to prevent the rise of such revolutionary forces. From the eyes of the state, Black people must be reminded of what their place is, undocumented immigrants must live in terror and keep providing cheap labor in the same way that Israel tries to keep Palestinians living in fear.

Revolutionaries in the US must fight against oppression- whether it is the execution of Black men every 28 hours, the detention and deportation of undocumented immigrants, fascist militias hurrying to kill migrant children escaping national oppression, etc. The white supremacist, capitalist ruling class is the enemy of the People and it is able to exercise its terrorism through the organized power of the state. The People must be capable of fighting back and taking power in society, to be able to put an end to all oppression and exploitation, to destroy capitalist white supremacy! The Liaison Committee for a New Communist Party aspires to build the revolutionary party of the proletariat, an organization through which the masses can resist and defeat the US white supremacist, imperialist state!
